COMP40580 Natural Computing 2006 Mini-Project Papers

Module Coordinator: Dr. Michael O'Neill

Description:

In addition to teaching the essentials of Natural Computing, the module provides experience in the planning, executing, writing up, and critical evaluation of research.

This is a 100% continuous assessment module. Each student proposes and undertakes an individual project, and writes up their work in the form of a 10-page conference-style paper. Each student is randomly assigned papers from other students and must peer review and write an evaluation of each assigned paper and then rank the papers. Students performance is assessed based on their project proposal, active participation in weekly discussion groups, their submitted paper, the quality of the reviews they write for their assigned papers, and the final camera ready paper submission with replies to reviewers feedback.

Presented here are the final mini-project papers submitted in 2006.
