{"id":614,"date":"2022-11-16T13:13:29","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T13:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncra.ucd.ie\/?p=614"},"modified":"2022-11-16T13:31:05","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T13:31:05","slug":"announcing-new-funding-for-reg-fr-aims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncra.ucd.ie\/index.php\/2022\/11\/16\/announcing-new-funding-for-reg-fr-aims\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing New Funding for Reg-Fr-AIMs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Irish Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Simon Harris has today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ie\/en\/press-release\/413c1-science-week-minister-harris-announces-162-million-to-support-15-research-projects-led-by-technological-universities-and-institutes-of-technology\/\">announced funding<\/a> from Science Foundation Ireland for UCD&#8217;s Natural Computing Research &amp; Applications Group led by Prof Michael O&#8217;Neill and Prof Fergal McCaffery (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dkit.ie\/regulated-software-research-centre\">Director Regulated Software Research Centre<\/a> (RSRC) in Dundalk Institute of Technology) for the <strong>Reg-Fr-AIMs<\/strong> project, which sets out to develop a Regulatory Compliance Framework for Trustworthy AI Medical Device Software. Alongside Prof O&#8217;Neill, the UCD team of researchers include <a href=\"https:\/\/people.ucd.ie\/miguel.nicolau\">Dr Miguel Nicolau<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/people.ucd.ie\/annunziata.espositoamideo\">Dr Annunziata Esposito Amideo<\/a>.
